Sports and Recreation Camps
Boys and girls aged six to 12 are invited to participate in the Sports and Recreation Camp, which offers a fun, active and safe in-person environment in which to improve their sports skills, make friends and enjoy summer vacation. Activities include football, basketball, volleyball, swimming, tennis, art and much more.
Each camper selects two major activities, each of which meets daily for 75 minutes. Major activities include football, tennis, swimming, basketball, art and fencing. Campers are also assigned to minor activities, which change every day to offer all participants a wide variety of experiences. Minor activities include badminton, fencing, basketball, football, swimming, slip n’ slide, tennis, art, small games (dodgeball, table tennis, etc.), cinema, cycling and dezni la dazzak. This arrangement allows players to specialize in one sport while developing their skills in another. While avid athletes are encouraged to sign up, no prior experience is necessary. Each activity has a beginner and an advanced section in order to accommodate all skill levels.
The camp was not just about sports; it was about building character, fostering teamwork, and instilling a sense of discipline and sportsmanship in young hearts. Ghaith loved every moment at King’s Academy.
With its modern campus and excellent sports facilities, King’s Academy is the ideal location for athletic training. The Academy’s expansive grounds include three football fields, six tennis courts, a multi-purpose indoor court, three outdoor basketball courts and a semi-Olympic indoor swimming pool. The campus also includes an extensive cross-country track that can be used for mountain biking.
Plenty of cold water is available throughout the day, and campers will be provided with a hot lunch served in the dining hall. An on-campus health center is fully staffed to provide athletic training and medical care in case of injury or illness. All health and safety precautions are being considered, and we are working with epidemiological experts to develop effective protocols, which will be shared with campers closer to the starting date. Buses provide optional daily transportation from Amman.
Summer at King’s Academy is offering an exciting new athletic training program: Squash Camp! Our squash program is designed to meet the needs of novice to intermediate players between the ages of 14 to 17. Whether they are just learning the game or already have some experience on the squash court, they will receive customized hands-on squash instruction by our experienced coaches to help them improve their game.
Squash Camp is a two-week program (five days a week from 09:00 to 15:00) that includes learning the rules, drills, strategies and practice, playing games, refereeing and conditioning with weights, gym, pool and track. Players will be provided with rackets, balls and protective eyewear.
My daughters absolutely loved it. They were asking to come back next summer before their current session was even over. They had a blast!
