Daily Sports Camp (Cancelled 2021)
Local boys and girls aged six to 13 are invited to participate in the daily sports program, which offers a fun, active and safe environment in which to improve their sports skills, make friends and enjoy summer vacation. Activities include football, basketball, swimming, tennis, art and much more. Lunch is served in the King’s Academy Dining Hall.
Each camper selects two major activities, each of which meets daily for 75 minutes. Campers are also assigned to minor activities, which change every day to offer all participants a wide variety of experiences. Minor activities include basketball, football, swimming, table tennis, art, games, movies, cooking, ballet, coding (with RoboGarden), and exciting art projects (with The Orenda Tribe). This arrangement allows players to specialize in one sport while developing their skills in another. While avid athletes are encouraged to sign up, no prior experience is necessary. Each activity has a beginner and an advanced section in order to accommodate all skill levels.
With its modern campus and excellent sports facilities, King’s Academy is the ideal location for athletic training. The Academy’s expansive grounds include three football fields, six tennis courts, a multi-purpose indoor court, three outdoor basketball courts and a semi-Olympic indoor swimming pool. The campus also includes an extensive cross country track that can be used for mountain biking.
Plenty of cold water is provided throughout the day, and campers are invited to eat lunch in the school dining hall. An on-campus health center is fully staffed to provide athletic training and medical care in the case of injury or illness. Buses provide optional daily transportation from Amman.
My daughters absolutely loved it. They were asking to come back next summer before their current session was even over. They had a blast!
