Welcome YPO-WPO families!
The Office of Admissions suggests that YPO-WPO families spend time exploring the entire King's Academy website to become familiar with the school's educational philosophy, academic and co-curricular program and residential life.
Some helpful links are below.
King's has developed a one-term and one-year academic program that allows short-term students to get the most out of their experience at King's Academy. The program allows students to take a selection of classes that both matches up well with home schools (for credit transfer) and offers a unique learning experience only available at King's.
Along with courses in science, mathematics, world languages and the arts, the YPO-WPO program at King's offers students classes in the following subject areas:
History of the Middle East
The Modern Middle East
Arabic as a Second Language
Outside of class, YPO-WPO students will experience life in a vital and interesting part of the world. Weekends are full of regular school activities and events planned especially for YPO-WPO students.
YPO-WPO families may also be interested in the Arabic Year at King’s Academy (AY) program. This one-year or one-term program is designed for students with a particular interest in learning Arabic and in being immersed in Middle East culture. For more information about Arabic Year, click on the links below.
If you are interested in learning more about how to apply to King's as a YPO-WPO family, please contact Director of Admissions for more information. He will discuss the admission process and answer any questions you may have about King's Academy in general or the King's YPO-WPO program specifically.
