King’s Academy, December 8, 2016 – King’s Academy established a Chinese Parents Association in October during its annual dinner reception for the school’s Chinese parents in Hangzhou, China. Currently, the majority of King’s Chinese students hail from the city of Hangzhou.

Parents attending the dinner reception discussed and agreed to create a King’s Academy Chinese Parents Association, in order to boost dialogue and cooperation between the school and its parents in China. The parents elected Ms. Yu Lyu 'Fran', the mother of Qingyi Lou ’18 as association president for the 2016-2017 academic year and Dr. Yingchun Liu, the mother of Shang Chao ’19 as association vice-president. Participation in the association is voluntary, and open to all current and former parents of King’s Chinese students.

Dean of Admissions MacGregor Robinson and Faculty Member Wen Yu Ho, who teaches history and Chinese, represented King’s at the event, taking the opportunity to introduce King’s, Jordan and the region to prospective parents and students at an information session held prior to the dinner reception.
