King’s Academy, November 24, 2015 — On December 1, for the second year in a row, King’s Academy will participate in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving. Last year, more than 27,000 organizations in 68 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday – and since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours and activities that bring about real change in communities.
Last year, 27 alumni and friends helped raise nearly US $1,500 over the course of one day. This year, King’s aims to raise the bar even further with a “countdown” on the school’s social media pages that begins on Tuesday, November 24. Posts will focus on reasons to support King’s Academy.
During this year’s #GivingTuesday campaign, King’s is also launching a new monthly giving program, which provides a reliable source of annual fund income for the school, and makes giving easy on donors.
The entire King’s Academy community – faculty, staff, alumni, parents and friends – is encouraged to give back what they can, when they can.
