In Brief: Michael Hess appointed to King’s Academy board

King's Academy, كينغز أكاديمي, school, board of trustees, member, Michael HessKing’s Academy, November 26, 2014 – At its October meeting, the King’s Academy board of trustees elected Mr. Michael Hess as its newest trustee, bringing the board’s size to 13 members.

An associate at KKR & Co. L.P. in New York, Mr. Hess is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Harvard College, and has held positions at Goldman Sachs and the Royal Hashemite Court.

“Michael is a young gentleman with an amazing personality and a great network whom we believe will add a youthful perspective to our board,” said Chairman of the Board of Trustees HE Karim Kawar. “I personally believe that he will be a great addition to our already stellar board.”

Headmaster John Austin also expressed his pleasure at the addition of Hess, whose family has had a long association with Jordan, and whose knowledge of the country and of Arab culture makes him valuable on the board.

Mr. Hess’s “strong finance background will further enrich the expertise of the board to guide King’s into the future,” Austin added.
