In Brief: Parent Council discusses future opportunities at King’s

October 1, 2014

King’s Academy, October 1, 2014 –The King’s Academy Development Office gathered for the first time with the Parent Council Social Committee to discuss future opportunities for the King’s Academy community.

Generously hosted by Parent Council members Rula and Yousef Said (P’17), the committee exchanged ideas on special activities and fundraising events – all geared towards fortifying the bonds between King’s Academy parents and families. Most recently, the Parent Council organized a school-wide bake sale to support the victims of the violence in Gaza.

“We look forward to sending more special event announcements in the year to come, as the ideas formed during this meeting become reality,” said Chief Development Officer Rima Zaitoon.

Through the Parent Council, King’s Academy invites parents to become more active participants in their children’s education and in supporting the future of the school. As a young institution, King’s Academy depends on the time, effort and resources of parent volunteers – all of which have a substantial impact on the day-to-day life of students.
