Students Win International Nuclear Science Olympiad Medals

Yousef Alwahsh '26 and Abdelrahman AlSaharin '26 won bronze medals for Jordan in the 2025 International Nuclear Science Olympiad held in Malaysia this August.

On August 6, King’s Academy organized a zaffeh celebration to welcome the winners at the airport, which Penny and Mayyada attended. King’s Academy also hosted a celebration on August 14 to honor the National Team’s success with speeches and awards for the four students and their mentors, including Ms. Mayyada Tawasha.

Out of the 350 students who tried out for spots in the competition, three King’s students made the Jordanian National Team—Yousef, Abdelrahman, and Sadeen Alshaikh Hassan '26. The team’s passion for nuclear science and success on the international stage reflects over eight months of dedication and preparation, during which they attended lectures, practical trainings, and field visits with top nuclear scientists in Jordan.
