Spanish and Jordanian companies donate to King’s

King’s Academy recently received a generous pledge of support from OHL Industrial S.L. and MID Contracting Company LLC. The donation, amounting to US $80,000 through a joint venture between the two companies, will be provided over the next two years and was marked by a signing ceremony attended by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources HE Ibrahim Saif and Spanish Ambassador to Jordan HE Santiago Cabanas Ansorena. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by King’s Academy Chairman HE Bassem Al-Salem, OHL Industrial S.L. CEO Alberto Sicre Diaz and MID Contracting Company LLC CEO Ala B. Masri on July 18 at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

OHL Industrial S.L. is a Spanish company that specializes in the engineering and construction of large turnkey industrial installations; it has made technology and internationalization the cornerstones of its strategy. The company places great value in creating sustainable economic, social and environmental conditions and meeting the specific interests of its investors, clients and the human team behind OHL.

MID Contracting Company LLC is a Jordan-based construction contractor founded in 1991 and is one of the biggest and most reputable first grade general contracting companies in Jordan. The company has rapidly expanded its operations towards regional and international markets while adhering to its core values and professional principles of reliability, credibility and international best practices. The company has been a longtime supporter of King’s Academy’s financial aid program.

Speaking at the signing ceremony HE Bassem Al-Salem expressed his delight at adding OHL Industrial S.L. to its honor roll of donors.

“Donations like these are essential to King’s Academy’s mission to enroll deserving students whose families do not possess the financial means to send their children to attend King’s,” Al-Salem said. “Diversity and inclusivity is at the heart of the calling of the school, after all,” he added.
