Solar power station up and running

King’s new 2.6 megawatt photovoltaic power station is providing King’s with a clean, sustainable and economical energy supply. Made up of 8,000 PV cells, the solar power facility — donated by ACWA Power — reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 2,300 tons annually, in addition to providing electricity for 350 housing units. And now, savings on the energy bill means that more support can be directed to other vital areas of the school, such as financial aid.
