Peer counselors had a fun, albeit messy, team building exercise last week when they took over the dining hall to make huge quantities of lazy cake, with the assistance of the dining hall staff. They then distributed the cakes to each Upper and Middle School advisory group. The aim was not only to treat their fellow students to something sweet, but to remind them that peer counselors are there to help. Each cake came with a message of support, a list of peer counselor names, and a reminder that students can contact them whenever they need someone to talk to.
