Parent Council sends care packages to King’s employees

To keep spirits high and show gratitude to the faculty and staff who have made great personal sacrifices over the past year to ensure the stability and continued growth of students, the King’s Academy Parent Council prepared “Love and Support” packages for King’s employees. Similar to the care packages the Parent Council sent to students during the fall Green Zone, these gifts are a sign of the support and care of the King’s Academy community.

“Our parents took the lead in this initiative and worked above and beyond to prepare and send the packages in no time,” says Sara’a Malkawi, advancement events manager. “This endeavor shows how much our parent body believes that our teachers’ health and emotional wellbeing is of paramount importance.”

The first set of packages was delivered to on-campus faculty on Tuesday. Love and Support packages for remaining King’s employees are currently being prepared. “I am humbled,” said Head of the Round Square Office Salwa Manaja upon receiving her package. “[The Parent Council’s] children are our children, and not only is it our duty but our privilege to work with them.”
