Last week, students from the renowned Oberlin Conservatory of Music visited campus for three days as artists-in-residence. The group of musicians first gave a rousing performance of a wide variety of musical pieces, held question-and-answer sessions for King’s student musicians and staged a jazz workshop for King’s guitar students. On Friday, the Oberlin musicians ran intensive workshops; students of piano, woodwind instruments, and string instruments all received individualized attention from the Oberlin musicians.
