King's Academy students in the Film Studies course presented their end-of-semester short films on Tuesday as part of the Department of Communication, Rhetoric and the Literary Arts' annual Student Film Festival.
The three films embraced a wide range of cinematographic techniques and drew inspiration from classic films such as Pulp Fiction and American Psycho as well as retellings of Greek myths.
Prior to each film, students provided the audience with insight into the filming process and opened the floor to questions after the screening. The production of the films was a genuine community effort, with faculty and students volunteering their time to serve as actors and extras.
