King’s gives Al Arish School a facelift

King's Academy students, faculty and staff worked together to renovate Al Arish Elementary School in Madaba on Friday, November 5 as part of the seniors' annual community service project. The Senior Service Project is an opportunity for the graduating class to give back to their wider community during their final year at King’s.

This year, more than 60 seniors took part in the project, joined by dozens of faculty and staff members, including 20 members of the maintenance team, who volunteered their time and skills during the planning and implementation of the renovation of Al Arish School. The King’s team worked on cleaning and painting walls, doors, desks and chalkboards, in addition to plumbing, electricity and carpentry work that took place over several days.

Although led by the senior class, the project was a school-wide effort and included fundraising by students to support renovation costs, with over 1,162 JD raised at the King’s Fest charity festival that took place in October.
