King’s employees give back

November is traditionally the month of giving, with Giving Tuesday — an internationally recognized day of global giving, and National Philanthropy Week — which celebrates the charitable work that everyone does to make a difference and create impact in their communities — both falling in November.

It is certainly the season of giving, and giving back, at King’s Academy, where to mark National Philanthropy Week, the Office of Advancement took the opportunity to thank King’s Academy employees for their generous philanthropy towards the school.

Continuing what is an annual tradition at King’s, this year employees donated double the amount that was raised during last year’s Faculty and Staff Appeal. Additionally, the number of employees participating in the appeal this year impressively quadrupled, with 84 donating compared to 22 last year.

Contributions to the Faculty and Staff Appeal go to support scholarships, giving students from all socio-economic backgrounds the opportunity to benefit from the unique and excellent education offered at King’s Academy.

“All of this is only possible because of our collective commitment to the school’s mission, along with our shared objective of providing students with the best education possible,” said Chief of Advancement Soha Hmaidan in a message to employees. “Philanthropy is about so much more than fundraising to reach certain financial milestones, it’s about consciously taking the time to support causes we care about and providing opportunities to those who would otherwise not have them.”
