Friends of King’s gather in Jeddah

Last week around 70 parents, alumni and friends of King’s Academy gathered at the Batterjee Sindi home in Jeddah to celebrate the school, reminisce about its past and talk about its future.

Also in attendance was Her Royal Highness Princess Reema Bandar Bint AlSaud, who spoke about the importance of quality education and the need for future generations to lead not only with their head, but also with their heart.

“King’s is putting this model of leadership into action every day,” Princess Reema said.

Rayan Fadul '10 spoke about being one of the first students to attend King’s and credited the unique educational opportunity for giving him the confidence to speak in front of a crowd.

Fadul also said that the safe, nurturing environment at King’s helped him form long-lasting friendships.

Several of his fellow alumni also attended the event and danced together with the UNESCO Hijazi dance troupe.
