Dance students perform at Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts

King’s Academy dance students performed to a public audience at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts as part of the Sadeem Dance Concert. The performance was choreographed by King’s dance coordinator Ryuji Yamaguchi and the dancers’ costumes were designed by Middle School class dean and art teacher Laila Demashqieh inspired by traditional Palestinian embroidery designs and embroidered by Tiraz Center. The students performed a dance called “Love is Sorrow” to the music of Palestinian singer-songwriter Rim Banna’s song "Supply Me with Excess of Love” that is inspired by a poem written by 12th Arab poet Shaykh Umar Ibn al-Farid.
