The King’s Academy Board of Trustees extended its gratitude and appreciation to King’s faculty and staff, in a letter sent out this week, for their “extraordinary effort, commitment and dedication” over the past year during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in particular for their efforts during the safe-campus Green Zone established by the school.
“We know how hard you have tried to fulfil the vision of a safe green zone within the campus,” the members of the Board wrote. “This was a vision we supported fully and one that truly distinguished King’s amongst its peers, not only in Jordan but around the world.”
The Green Zone proved a real success during the fall and first months of 2021, according to the Board, thanks to the community’s great sacrifices and commitment. “Many teachers and staff members had to leave their own families for long periods to make this work. This has often taken an enormous toll on your time and pushed most of you to new limits – but you all rose to the challenge as true professionals.”
The Board members expressed their pride in King’s “stellar faculty, staff and leadership,” and noted their confidence in their abilities to continue to fulfill the mission of King’s despite the school’s transition back to online learning this month due to the worsening epidemiological situation nationally.
“The students cannot be in more capable hands,” the Board added. “We know that the community will flourish virtually, and we cannot wait to see you back on campus safely.”
