Author Hisham Matar talks about the art of writing

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Hisham Matar, whose award-winning novel In the Country of Men is required reading in the English 10 course, addressed students at School Meeting on Monday. The British-Libyan writer is currently a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, as well as an associate professor of professional practice in Comparative Literature, Asia and Middle East Cultures, and English at Barnard College.

Matar shared with students his approach to writing, as well as some of the processes and challenges involved in creative writing.
