#COVID19KA

Understanding: STEM Perspectives

These presentations explore the nature and effects of COVID-19 through the STEM disciplines.

Essential Question
How do we smell and how do we taste?

Action Steps

  1. Find some foods around the house you want to taste
  2. Find a willing participant (maybe a sibling or parent?)
  3. Blindfold them
  4. Close their nose (either with their hands or a clip)
  5. Give them the food you want them to try without them knowing what it is.
  6. Record their reactions and have them describe the taste/flavor! (if you want a funny response, try a raw potato - apparently they are gross!
  7. Post your results on  Facebook or Twitter using #COVID19KA.
