Understanding: STEM Perspectives
These presentations explore the nature and effects of COVID-19 through the STEM disciplines.
Essential Question
How do we smell and how do we taste?
Action Steps
- Find some foods around the house you want to taste
- Find a willing participant (maybe a sibling or parent?)
- Blindfold them
- Close their nose (either with their hands or a clip)
- Give them the food you want them to try without them knowing what it is.
- Record their reactions and have them describe the taste/flavor! (if you want a funny response, try a raw potato - apparently they are gross!
- Post your results on Facebook or Twitter using #COVID19KA.
