#COVID19KA

Understanding: Arts and Humanities Perspectives

These presentations explore the nature and effects of COVID-19 through the Arts and Humanities disciplines.

Essential Questions
Should you be arrested for taking a walk during curfew? Should you be allowed to walk into a public space after testing positive with a virus?

In this session, students will consider the relationship between individual choice and public health by defining freedom.

To Do

Watch the video and answer these questions:

  1. Should you be arrested for taking a walk during curfew? Should you be allowed to walk into a public space after testing positive with a virus?
  2. As a class, which types of freedom are being restricted and which others are being provided, by nature of the lock-down? Could you make the argument that the lock-down is (in fact) promoting freedom?
