Dear friends,

It gives me immense pleasure to address you in this new issue of The Lion’s Pride in my capacity as the new chief advancement officer at King’s Academy. It is both humbling and amazing to see what you — our incredibly generous donors, supporters, alumni and partners — have enabled since King’s was founded 15 years ago.

You have shown us that a generous, engaged, aware and committed donor community can make a true difference in the lives of our students, thus sustaining the excellent reputation of the school.

Fifteen years ago, we set ourselves a goal — to build philanthropy into the fabric of the school. It is because of you and your generous spirit that our students are thriving.

When you give to King’s, you help us make extraordinary things happen. Last year, with your generous support, we raised an inspiring $3,567,156 and offered our bright and deserving students a personalized educational experience to support not only their learning, but also wellness and personal growth. We also received donations towards colleges and universities, bringing our proceeds to a total of $4,178,920. In addition, I am proud to announce that new scholarships and endowed funds, as well as initiatives in innovation and entrepreneurship were established by our loyal alumni and committed supporters.

We are honored to feature your names in this edition of The Lion’s Pride. We are also glad to share the exciting news of King’s first all-alumni reunion that brought back alumni from the past 15 years, creating new memories and recreating old bonds.

Moving into Fiscal Year 2022-2023, we won’t rest on the laurels of last year. The work of building and sustaining a great institution is never done. With your support, I am confident that we can achieve our goals to continue to provide a unique educational experience to many more students from around the globe, expand King’s potential beyond its current scale, broaden our donor base and expand our alumni engagement reach.
