Dear parents, alumni and friends,
I am proud to share with you the latest edition of The Lion’s Pride. This annual report recognizes King’s Academy’s extraordinary community of donors and it celebrates all who have strengthened the school with their philanthropy, enabling us to stay true to His Majesty King Abdullah II’s bold mission. Your gifts have made the school what it is today. You have provided access for students from all backgrounds, and you have helped develop the programs and physical infrastructure that have enabled us to provide a world class education that launches students to opportunities around the world.
I also write to you at this time with news that our strategic planning process is well underway, thanks to your help. We have begun exploring key priorities for future growth and will soon be deeply engaging the school community for insight and partnership. We will be reaching out to you as parents, alumni, trustees and friends of King’s Academy in the months ahead to engage you in the development of our comprehensive strategic vision for the future.
The work of shaping the future will also be marked by a celebration and commemoration of the school’s 15th anniversary. Keep an eye out for more information about this in the months ahead.
It is also worth reiterating that from the very beginning, King’s Academy has not only stood firm in giving every student a world class education, but also in providing this next generation of invested citizens and visionary leaders with a learning environment that is multi-dimensional: nurturing yet challenging, historically aware yet future oriented, built around individual development yet committed to shared understanding and experiences. So, on behalf of our students, I salute and thank you for continuing this journey with us.
Truly, each one of you who has contributed is making a difference in the educational experiences of our students. We are most grateful for your generosity, and we look forward to seeing your names in future issues of The Lion’s Pride.
I am honored and proud to say that the culture of giving is becoming stronger than ever at King’s because of you.
With appreciation,
Peter Nilsson
Head of School
