Admissions
Arabic Year at King's Academy (AY) enrolls a select number of students from around the world each year. These students, in grades 10-12, in addition to post-graduate students, share a desire to explore the Arabic language and culture. Students admitted into AY must excel academically, have a willingness to immerse themselves in a new culture and language and be able to show the required maturity to live in an overseas boarding environment. Students of varying levels of Arabic language — from beginner to advanced — can be enrolled in the program.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all spaces are filled. AY applicants will be notified of an admissions decision as soon as their file is complete and has been reviewed.
A complete application to Arabic Year will include the following:
- Student application
- Parent application
- Academic recommendation
- Character recommendation
- Transcripts from the current year and past two years
- Interview (to be conducted via Skype or phone)
