Scholarships

Grade Seven Merit Scholarship

Overview

The King’s Academy Grade Seven Merit Scholarship awards merit-based scholarships of US $8,462 (6,000 JD) to selected outstanding Grade 7 applicants from Jordan. Once a Grade 7 merit student moves to grade nine in the Upper School, the award increases to US $16,924 (12,000 JD). Families are not able to combine merit scholarships with need-based financial aid awards, so families of students selected as merit scholars must fund the remaining balance of tuition personally. Families in need of greater tuition assistance should instead inquire about the King's Academy need-based financial aid program.

Grade Seven Merit Scholarship grants will be awarded to between two to four recipients, who will be selected by the Admissions Committee.

Qualifications

King’s Academy Grade Seven Merit Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated academic excellence at their current school
  • Performance on the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT)
  • Qualities or talents that will have a positive impact on the King’s Academy community

Candidates for the King’s Academy Grade Seven Merit Scholarship must be citizens or residents of Jordan. Students applying for need-based financial aid are eligible to apply for merit scholarships, but will only be awarded one of the two grants.
