How to Apply

1. Online Admissions Application Form

After creating an online account, applicants may then submit the Online Admissions Application Form, view detailed instructions and their application progress, and check admission status.

2. Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT)

Applicants must sit for the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT), which includes English (reading comprehension, language use and writing) and math. The SSAT will be administered on the King’s Academy campus. All applicants should register to sit for the test early in the application process. Preregistration is required three weeks before the session through the Online Admissions Application Form or by emailing:

Applicants should bring the following items to the SSAT:

  • Photo ID
  • Testing fees US $127/90 JD (cash only)

Candidates will not be permitted to attend the testing sessions without these items.

Please note that we are a closed testing center and can only register test-takers through our Office of Admissions or through our online application form.

Test exemptions may be made for those students who have previously taken similar tests, such as the PSAT, SAT, ACT or various US state standardized tests at their current schools.

3. Copies of required documents

Applicants must provide copies of their passport, birth certificate and family book (for Jordanian citizens) in addition to the most recent grades or progress reports from the current school year and end-of-year reports from the two previous academic years.

4. Recommendation forms

Applicants should ensure that their recommenders are allowed enough time to complete their letters of recommendation and that they are aware of the application deadline date. Letters of recommendation must be submitted in envelopes sealed by the teacher. An application will not be reviewed until all the following forms have been received:

  • Principal or counselor recommendation from
  • Math teacher recommendation form
  • English teacher recommendation form
  • Arabic teacher recommendation form (if the applicant currently takes Arabic language)

5. Personal interview (to be scheduled after submitting all of the above)

After reviewing the applications, the Admissions Committee will determine which students to invite for a personal interview.The admissions interview is a required part of the application process. Interviews are a great way for us to gain a better understanding of who our applicants are, their interest in King’s Academy and what unique characteristics they will bring to the school. The interview also helps applicants, their parents and the Admissions Committee mutually decide whether or not King’s Academy is the right fit for each applicant’s personality and interests.

Note: In addition to the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) fee, applicants must pay US $100/70 JD. This amount is payable in person at King's Academy in either Jordanian Dinars (cash or check) or other currencies in cash. Please note that foreign currency checks are not accepted. Applicants may also make direct bank transfers (net of bank commission) to the King's Academy account listed below. So that we can be sure to credit your payment properly, please indicate the applicant name on the bank transfer. Applicants from government schools in Jordan are exempt from paying these fees.
