King's Academy enrolls students who not only excel academically but who also demonstrate strong values, a desire to lead, maturity, adaptability, curiosity and creativity. As part of the admissions process, King's also considers a student's interest outside of class, including athletics, the arts, hobbies and other activities.

How to Apply

1. Complete the online application

Begin by creating an account on our online application portal. In the portal, you should complete the online application. 

Note: Families may use one account for multiple siblings’ applications. Follow the link for more instructions on creating your account and for technical assistance.

2. Register for the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT)

Applicants must sit for the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT), which includes English (reading comprehension, language use and writing) and math. The SSAT is administered on the King’s Academy campus.

All applicants should register to sit for the test early in the application process. Preregistration is required three weeks before the session.
Applicants must bring identification in the form of a passport or national ID or birth certificate and photo.

Note: Candidates can meet our testing requirement by submitting score reports for other standardized tests such as the PSAT, SAT, ACT, MAP, or various US state standardized tests at their current schools.

3. Submit academic transcripts and other required documents

Applicants must provide copies of their most recent grades or progress reports from the current school year and end-of-year reports from the two previous academic years.  Applicants must also submit copies of their passport, birth certificate and family book (the latter for Jordanian citizens only). All documents can be uploaded to the online application portal. 

4. Request teacher recommendations

Candidates must have their teachers complete recommendation forms.

  • Principal or counselor recommendation from
  • Math teacher recommendation form
  • English teacher recommendation form
  • Arabic teacher recommendation form (if the applicant currently takes Arabic language)

Recommendation forms should be scanned and sent by a school official to admissions@kingsacademy.edu.jo or delivered in a sealed and school stamped envelope.  Applicants can request through our online application portal for their teachers to complete the recommendation form electronically. 

5. Schedule a personal interview and family meeting

This is our chance to get to know you and your opportunity to ask questions and see the school.

6. Submit the application fee

There is an application fee of US $212/150 JD, which includes testing and processing fees. This amount is payable online via PayPal or in person at King's Academy in Jordanian Dinars. For students who are exempted from taking the SSAT test, the application fee is US $70/50 JD. Applicants from government schools in Jordan are exempt from paying these fees.

7. Admissions dates to remember

Regular Admissions and Financial Aid applications are due by January 16, 2020. Applicants will be notified of an admissions decision on March 12, 2020.

Early Decision applications will be accepted as of October 1, 2019. Applicants will be notified of a decision within two weeks after the application file is complete.
