King's Academy enrolls students who not only excel academically but who also demonstrate strong values, a desire to lead, maturity, adaptability, curiosity and creativity. As part of the admissions process, King's Academy also considers the student's interest outside of class, including athletics, the arts, hobbies and other activities.

Admissions Application Deadlines

Our admissions process has several rounds for students to apply for King’s Academy. As a general rule, earlier is better than later.

To be included in your round of choice and to receive an admissions decision on the specified date, application checklists must be submitted by the stated deadlines. A complete application checklist includes: the family information section, transcripts from the current and two previous years, recommendation forms from the candidate’s current math and English teachers, an interview, and scores from one of the required test types (see Step 4 below).

Admissions decisions will not be issued before the published deadline. Families who begin the process between deadlines will, in most cases, be moved to the next round.

To begin the application process, you must first submit an information request form through our online application portal.

After submitting this form, please check your email and follow the directions to set up your account.

Application Process

Step 1: Book your interview and family meeting

After setting up your account and logging in to the admissions portal, click the ‘Candidate’ tab at the top of the page, then select ‘View Checklist.’ From there, you can manage your application and schedule your campus visit and interview.

Candidates residing in Jordan: Each visit begins with a campus tour, continues with the student interview and ends with a meeting between parents and an admissions counselor. Please plan a 90-minute visit when scheduling your campus visit and interview. Remember to bring a copy of the candidate’s ID, passport, or birth certificate. Candidates residing outside of Jordan: Please email the Office of Admissions to schedule an admissions interview and campus tour via Zoom.

Application Fees

Application fees are US $140/100 JD and can be paid online.
Note: Candidates from public schools throughout Jordan are exempt from paying the fee.

Candidates Residing in Jordan
Candidates residing in Jordan, including both Jordanians and expats must register and attend one of the King’s Academy Admissions Test sessions using this form.

Candidates Residing Outside of Jordan

International candidates such as students applying from public or private schools in the US or Canada, Saudi Aramco Expatriate Schools, or an English-language international school: SSAT (strongly preferred), MAP, ISEE, PSAT, SAT, or another test approved at the discretion of the Dean of Enrollment Management.
International candidates applying from a school where English is not the language of instruction: SSAT + TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo.
Note: Upon completion of an interview or submission of SSAT scores, the Dean of Enrollment Management or Director of International Recruitment may choose to waive additional English language testing.

Candidates Interested in Merit Scholarship

Candidates interested in the Merit Scholarship must provide the Office of Admissions with a valid SSAT score. King’s Academy offers the paper-based SSAT on campus, and the computer-based test may be taken at many Prometric centers, including AMIDEAST in Amman. Candidates interested in Merit Scholarship who submit a valid SSAT score are not required to take the King’s Academy Admissions Test.

Step 5: Upload transcripts and send recommendation requests

You must provide copies of your most recent grades or progress reports from the current school year and end-of-year reports from the two previous academic years.

In addition, you are required to request the following:

Math teacher recommendation form
English teacher recommendation form

Recommendation forms can be submitted in one of the two ways,

Online: You may send requests through the online application portal for your teachers to complete the recommendation forms electronically.
By email or in a sealed envelope: You may request recommendation forms from the Office of Admissions to share with your current school. Completed forms must be either scanned and emailed by a school official to admissions@kingsacademy.edu.jo or delivered by the candidate’s family in a sealed envelope stamped by the school.

Transcripts should be uploaded directly to the online application portal or sent by email.

Optional: Apply for Financial Aid or Merit Scholarship

Merit Scholarship: The King's Academy Merit Scholarship Program awards merit-based scholarships to select outstanding Grade 7 and Grade 9 applicants. We target these typical grades of entry in order to ensure that students receiving this honor can benefit from and contribute to King’s Academy to the greatest possible extent.

This program is designed to enable strong students for whom the full cost of tuition is just out of reach to attend King’s Academy. Students who need more significant financial support to attend King’s Academy should apply through our financial aid program.

Financial Aid: Financial aid is a grant offered to help make King’s Academy affordable for families who do not have the means to pay full tuition. In addition to the above steps, families applying for financial aid must also complete all requirements for the financial aid application listed here by the deadline. If either the admissions or financial aid application is incomplete, the candidate will be moved to the next round.

Important Notes:

Students applying from the Jordanian National Curriculum schools can join King’s Academy no later than 10^th grade to complete the American High School Diploma.
Students from international curricula other than the American curriculum, coming from local or international schools, can join King’s Academy no later than 11^th grade to complete the American High School Diploma.
Students coming from schools that follow a calendar-year system rather than an academic-year system will remain in their current grade if they join King’s Academy in the first (fall) semester, and will be enrolled in the previous grade if they join in the second (spring) semester.
