Born and raised in Beirut, Sharifa Rawi-Sukhun joined King's Academy in 2009 as an English teacher in the Department of Communication, Rhetoric and the Literary Arts (CRLA).
Ms. Rawi-Sukhun began her teaching career in Lebanon as an English instructor at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and the Lebanese American University (LAU). She later went on to work in Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Bahrain in teaching and administrative positions that included head of English, director of foreign language programs, primary and preschool headmistress and lecturer in several academic institutions, such as Najd National School in Riyadh, Rawdat Al-Ma'aref School (RAMS), the New English School in Amman and the University of Bahrain. Her 23 years of experience have involved student placement, curriculum selection and teacher recruitment and training.
Ms. Rawi-Sukhun obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in English literature from AUB. She also holds a diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the same university.
