Rima Zaitoon joined King’s Academy in 2013, where she currently serves as chief advancement officer. Her career spans over two decades of international fundraising, with a particular focus on educational institutions, including the American University of Beirut (AUB) and International College (IC). Most recently, she has served as senior associate director in the Office of Development at Yale University, where she helped raise money from the university’s alumni and friends in the United States and the Middle East.
Ms. Zaitoon grew up in Lebanon and earned a Bachelor’s degree in political science and public administration from AUB in 1983. After graduation, she taught English as a Second Language (ESL) to high school students in Beirut prior to moving to the United States.
After obtaining certificates in accounting, economics and market analysis from New York University (NYU) and the American Institute of Banking (AIB), she went on to work for Bank Almashrek as a bank representative in the New York financial community, and as a private banker for the Park Avenue Bank.
At King’s, Rima works with the headmaster, faculty and senior staff, board members and parents as the Academy seeks to realize support for its long-term mission and aspirations.
