Nadine Cunningham grew up in Bow, New Hampshire and graduated from the Crane School of Music at State University of New York (SUNY) at Potsdam with a Bachelor’s degree in music education. At Crane, she was sitting concertmaster of the Crane Symphony Orchestra and played four years of NCAA ice hockey for the SUNY Potsdam Bears.
Through the National String Project, Ms. Cunningham taught lessons to students in elementary and middle school for two years, and had her own private violin studio. She has also taught orchestra at the high school level in Saratoga Springs, New York.
Ms. Cunningham joined King’s Academy in 2014 as a teaching fellow in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts. She became a faculty member in that department the following year. In 2017, Ms. Cunningham also became a house head. And in 2018, she obtained her Master’s degree in music education from Ithaca College.
