Lara Al-Masri received her Bachelor's degree in biology, with a minor in chemistry, from Yarmouk University. She has been teaching chemistry and biology for nearly two decades to students preparing for the IGCSE, SAT and A-level examinations. She taught at the New English School for two years, Amman National School for 11 years and Amman Academy for four years. During those years, she participated in various workshops conducted by the University of Cambridge International Examinations and the Private School Council in Jordan.
Ms. Al-Masri, who joined King's Academy in 2008 as a chemistry teacher in the Department of Physical and Life Sciences, currently also teaches marine biology and designed the curriculum for that course at King’s. In addition, she has led the school’s Eco-Schools program since 2012.
In 2013, Ms. Al-Masri obtained a Master’s degree in multidisciplinary studies from the State University of New York College at Buffalo (SUNY).
