Born in Baghdad and raised in Jordan, Joanna Tutinji moved to Canada where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in fine arts from York University in 2009. She then returned to Amman, where she had two solo art exhibitions and briefly worked as a junior graphic designer.
In 2011, Ms. Tutinji enrolled in Christie’s Education Modern and Contemporary Art MLitt program in London. While working on her thesis, she interned at Annely Juda Fine Art gallery in London’s West End.
After returning to Amman in 2012, Ms. Tutinji worked as a consultant at Zara Gallery before joining King’s Academy as a faculty member teaching design, drawing and painting in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts the following year.
