A native of northern California, Janan Sabeh graduated from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a Bachelor's degree in politics and public service in 2007. During her undergraduate studies, she also spent a year abroad in Cairo.
Upon graduating from college, she returned to Egypt to study Arabic intensively at the American University in Cairo (AUC). She then joined the Egyptian Center for Women's Rights, working with the international donor community to advocate for the advancement of women's rights in Egypt. A firm believer in the importance of education exchange, she next became an EducationUSA advisor at AMIDEAST in Cairo. Over the course of three years in this capacity, she worked to assist both undergraduate and graduate students get into US universities.
In 2013, Ms. Sabeh joined King’s Academy as a university counselor and testing coordinator. She was promoted to senior associate director of university counseling in 2016.
