Emily Clark obtained a Bachelor’s degree in English from Rhodes College with a double minor in gender and sexuality studies, and religious studies with a focus in Islamic theology. During her time at Rhodes, she worked for various publications on campus and in the greater Memphis area, and served as the managing editor of the street newspaper The Bridge.
Ms. Clark has volunteered with the Greater Memphis Special Olympics and briefly played cello in a rock band. Before graduating, she was inducted into the Rhodes College Hall of Fame and she spent the summer of 2015 leading community service trips in Thailand. That fall, she joined King’s Academy as a teaching fellow in the Department of Communication, Rhetoric and the Literary Arts (CRLA). In 2016, she became a faculty member in that department and the following year also became a house head.
