Christy Folsom comes from New York City where she received a Doctor of Education degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. Dr. Folsom taught in the Childhood Education Department of the School of Education at Lehman College, City University of New York. Originally from Oregon, her teaching experience includes pre-school, deaf, general and gifted education, staff development, college teaching and administration. Dr. Folsom also wrote a book entitled Teaching for Intellectual and Emotional Learning: A Model for Creating Powerful Curriculum.
Before joining King’s Academy in 2017 as an instructional coach in the Department of Academic Affairs, Dr. Folsom was a regular visitor to King’s over the years, working with faculty on curriculum development.
