Born and raised in France, Carine Zanchi joined King's Academy in 2009 as a faculty member in the Department of World Languages. She obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in teaching French as a foreign language from the University of Grenoble and the University of Paris respectively. In addition, she holds a Master's degree in Middle East history and a PhD in applied linguistics from the University of Lyon.
Ms. Zanchi began her teaching career at a French language center in her home country before moving to Quebec, Canada in 2002. She then went on to work as a French instructor at the University of Bahrain before being recruited by the Alliance Française of Bahrain as head of studies for children's courses, and subsequently as director of courses. During this time, she was in charge of teacher training at the center and the training of French language teachers in cooperation with the Embassy of France in Bahrain, the University of Rouen and the Arab Open University of Bahrain.
Ms. Zanchi joined King's Academy from Al-Ahliyya Amman University where she developed a special French e-learning program for beginner Arab students.
