Alison Trattner completed a Bachelor’s degree in comparative literature from Yale University before moving to New York City where she enrolled in evening acting classes, landed her first theatrical agent and became a working actor. Ms. Trattner’s theater career includes dinner theater, community theater, regional theater, Off-Off-Broadway and voice-overs for television and radio.
Ms. Trattner earned her Master’s degree in English education from Teachers’ College, Columbia University. She began her career in education as a language arts instructor, teaching highly structured reading, writing, French and Spanish in New York City public schools. She has taught theater and English for 24 years in New York, Colorado and California, and as a Fulbright exchange teacher in Dakar, Senegal.
Ms. Trattner joined King’s Academy in 2017 as a faculty member teaching drama in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts.
