Shaun Mayor holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Lancaster University, a Master of Arts in management of international education from Edge Hill University, a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from the University of Central Lancashire, and a Master of Science in financial engineering from WorldQuant University in the United States.

Mr. Mayor has a diverse and extensive teaching background and experience at renowned institutions such as Kimball Union Academy and Tabor Academy. He has also taught at St. John's Preparatory School and held a leadership role as mathematics department chair at the British International School of Boston. Additionally, Shaun has been involved with the International Baccalaureate Organization as an assistant examiner and has served as an international schools inspector for the Council of International Schools. His additional roles include coaching soccer, working as a camp counsellor, and holding various certifications in outdoor leadership and horse riding.

Mr. Mayor joined King’s Academy in 2024 as head of the Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). He currently serves as the dean of academic affairs and STEM coordinator.
