Abdelrazzaq Ben Tarif earned a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic language and literature from the University of Jordan. He then obtained a Master’s degree in teaching Arabic for speakers of other languages in 2009, and a second Master’s degree in American studies from the University of Jordan in 2014.

Mr. Ben Tarif has taught Arabic at Duke University and Columbia University and has over 15 years of experience teaching Arabic in classroom settings. He is passionate about developing the academic and personal strengths of his students using student-centered holistic approaches and focusing on strengthening oral and written proficiency through a robust conversational curriculum.

Mr. Ben Tarif joined King’s Academy in 2023 as head of Arabic in the Department of Communication, Rhetoric and the Literary Arts (CRLA-Arabic).
