Biography:
Matthew Gilmore received his doctorate in comparative literary studies from Northwestern University in 2019.
He continues to remain active in literary scholarship, presenting research at the Modern Languages Association (MLA), American Comparative Literature Association (ACLA), and American Society for Aesthetics (ASA) on topics ranging from the works of Jacques Derrida, Walter Benjamin, and Franz Kafka to slasher films, onomastics, music of the 18th century, and utopian poetics.
Having studied and taught widely across the arts, humanities, social sciences, and so-called “hard” sciences, Mr. Gilmore joined King’s Academy in 2022 as a faculty member teaching English in the Department of Communication, Rhetoric, and the Literary Arts (CRLA).
