Biography:

Rami Ashour received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Warwick in 1991 and a master’s degree in clinical biochemistry from the University of Leeds in 1992.

Mr. Ashour has worked in the educational field for over 29 years. He previously worked at the New English School for three years, followed by the Modern American School for the next 26 years, where he taught IGCSE, A-Level, International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement biology. He also headed the science department for grades five through 12.

Mr. Ashour has considerable experience in developing school curricula and departmental and curricular guides for national and international streams and has assisted the Ministry of Education in developing their science curricula to enhance national educational standards. He is an approved SAT test center supervisor as well as a consultant, coordinator and trainer for the PSAT/NMSQT, SAT Subject Tests, SAT, SSD and APs. He has served as head of the college counseling department, and as an administrator.

Mr. Ashour joined King’s Academy in 2022 as associate director of university counseling.
