Dr. Hani Elayyan received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English language and literature from the University of Jordan. He attended Southern Illinois University on a Fulbright scholarship where he earned a PhD in English.

Dr. Elayyan served as a professor and head of department at the University of Jordan from 2003 to 2008. He then worked at King’s Academy from 2008 to 2012, followed by a 10-year stint as an associate professor of English at the American University of the Middle East in Kuwait. Dr. Elayyan has a keen interest in literature, particularly Arabic literature in translation, and has published a number of articles in this field.

Dr. Elayyan returned to King’s Academy in 2022 as a faculty member in the Department of Communication, Rhetoric, and the Literary Arts.
