Saad Abu Mohareb
M.S., University of Jordan
Jordan native and King’s Academy alumnus Saad Abu Mohareb ’11 obtained a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the American University of Madaba (AUM) in 2016, where he created a novel design for wind turbines. Throughout his university years, he tutored students of varying ages, including during the summer of 2013 when he returned to King’s as a volunteer teacher for the school’s Summer Enrichment Program (SEP). That experience inspired Mr. Abu Mohareb to start a peer-tutoring program at AUM to provide additional help to students who needed it.
Upon graduating from AUM, Mr. Abu Mohareb began working as a maintenance engineer for a thermoforming factory, where he was responsible for the safe operations of the production line. Pursuing his passion for renewable energy, in 2017 he joined a solar farm project in Mafraq as a site engineer. In 2018, upon completion of the project, he took on a job as a planning engineer at the Arab Ship Management Company.
Mr. Abu Mohareb obtained a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Jordan in 2021.
His passion for teaching brought Mr. Abu Mohareb back to King’s Academy in 2021, this time as a faculty associate in the Learning Center and the Department of Physical and Life Sciences, and in 2022 he became a faculty member in the same department.
