Lana AbuKhader graduated from the University of Jordan in 2014 with a Bachelor’s in doctor of pharmacy, but her passion for teaching led her to train and work in the field of education. In 2017, she was awarded a Chevening Scholarship to obtain her Master’s degree in education from the University of Reading.
Across her teaching career, Ms. AbuKhader has taught students ranging from two to 60 years old. She worked as a MYP science/chemistry teacher for middle school students and also taught music and dance to preschoolers.
Ms. AbuKhader began performing at a young age, which led to her cultivating a love for music. She started piano lessons at the age of four, and eventually earned the ABRSM Grade 8 Certification in piano from the Royal Academy of Music. She also pursued dance, completing Grade 8 with honors in Classical Ballet from the Royal Academy of Dance in London.
Ms. AbuKhader joined King’s Academy in 2019 as a faculty member teaching middle school science in the Department of Physical and Life Sciences. In 2022, she was also appointed Grade 8 class dean.
