King’s Academy Merit Scholarship Program

Merit Scholarship Program

Overview

The King’s Academy Merit Scholarship Program awards merit-based scholarships of US $14,000 (10,000 JD) to selected outstanding Grade 9 applicants from Jordan. Families are not able to combine merit scholarships with need-based financial aid awards, so families of students selected as merit scholars must fund the remaining balance of tuition personally. Families in need of greater tuition assistance should instead inquire about the King's Academy need-based financial aid program.

It is expected that merit scholarship grants will be awarded to six to 10 recipients.

Qualifications

King’s Academy Merit Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • demonstrated academic excellence at their current school;
  • performance on the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) and the Merit Scholarship Test;
  • other qualities or talents that will have a positive impact on the King’s Academy community.

Candidates for the King’s Academy Merit Scholarship must be Jordanian. Both weekday boarding and day students will be considered. Students applying for need-based financial aid are eligible to apply for merit scholarships, but will only be rewarded one of the two grants.
