Departments and Courses
Students typically take six to seven classes per day suited to their course of study and their particular stage of academic development. Each day is divided into seven periods and the school year is divided into three terms, with some year-long courses and some term-long courses. The Academy’s curriculum is administered by our eight academic departments:
Communication, Rhetoric and the Literary Arts (CRLA)
Computer Science
Ethics, Philosophy and Religion (EPR)
Fine and Performing Arts
History and Social Studies
Mathematics
Physical and Life Sciences
World Languages
